AM Mark Drakeford launches his Labour leadership campaign in North Wales today amid a row over Wylfa Newydd. The Cabinet Secretary for Finance will spell out his Welsh Labour leadership vision for the future of North Wales this afternoon at Coleg Cambria Business School in Northop. He is promising to work towards “prosperity” for all parts of Wales if he is chosen to replace outgoing First Minister Carwyn Jones. But rival Vaughan Gething has criticised Mr Drakeford for his comments about nuclear power at a time he says the country needs “certainty” in the sector.
