Dukinfield Metal Spinning (DMS), based in Audenshaw, has just completed a series of major contracts to produce hundreds of stainless steel fabrications for nuclear waste containers. The Safkeg containers are being used by the UK government for a national program of waste transfer. DMS developed a bespoke nuclear engineering division for spinning, welding and fabricating the containers after winning a two year contract from Croft Associates. The diversification prompted a growth in staff which has now hit 40.
