A Royal Navy submarine has left Plymouth for the last time, after being rehomed in Scotland. However HMS Talent will return to the city when she is eventually decommissioned – and will join the ‘nuclear graveyard’ of 13 submarines that are being stored at HMNB Devonport – a Plymouth MP has said. Luke Pollard, Labour Member of Parliament for Sutton and Devonport, said: “HMS Talent has left Devonport for the last time this week as she moves her base to Faslane in Scotland. All the submarines are being transferred to Scotland as part of building a centre of excellence for submariners on the Clyde. “But, she will be back as the Government has confirmed that all the remaining three Trafalgar-class submarines will be stored at Devonport when they come out of service.
