Public access to rivers data restored as Sepa fixes damage from major cyberattack. Members of the public can access information on river levels across Scotland for the first time since the country’s environmental watchdog was targeted in a major cyberattack on Christmas Eve. The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (Sepa) confirmed that it was responding to a significant hacking incident affecting its contact centre, internal systems, processes and communications on 24 December.
