The government could have stopped Toshiba from pulling the plug on its plans for a new nuclear plant in Cumbria if it had offered “similar terms to NuGen, to Kepco, to Toshiba which had be on a par with that which they had offered on other sites in the country, this deal could potentially have been salvaged” according to John Woodcock MP.
