EDF has extended by six weeks the shutdown of Reactor 1 (1.3 GW) at the Flamanville plant, in the Channel, due to “complex maintenance activities”, according to the latest transparency data published on Tuesday. The electrician, who shut down the unit on September 18, 2019, now plans to restart it on December 15. EDF had recently planned a restart on October 31. However, for the time being, EDF still plans to restart Flamanville 2 (1.3 GW) on October 31. The unit has been offline since January 10, 2019.
