A crunch biodiversity summit delayed four times in the last two years will finally take place this December, the UN announced today, after a last-minute venue change from China to Canada. The COP15 conference will see nations gather to agree a global deal to tackle biodiversity loss and the destruction of nature. The summit was supposed to take place in October 2020 but has been postponed multiple times. The repeated delays were leaving nations increasingly frustrated, Environment Minister Lord Goldsmith told MPs yesterday.
