Saturday, November 26, Greenpeace activists mobilized throughout France to denounce the scandal of anomalies underway in the nuclear industry. A scandal that lasted from 2014 and today takes dramatic proportions: currently, 30 of the 58 reactors in the French nuclear fleet are affected by these anomalies. In Bordeaux, the activists spoke at length about the Blayais power plant with passers-by. At least 15 anomalies were detected by the Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN)! In Colmar, we talked about the Fessenheim plant, where at least 10 anomalies were detected by the ASN. On the reactor 2, a steam generator has a serious irregularity which EDF and AREVA were aware of. Greenpeace and several associations of the Réseau Sortir du Nucléaire also filed a complaint against EDF and AREVA on the Fessenheim case for four major offenses, including forgery and deliberate endangerment of the lives of others. What will be the next anomaly? Will it affect the tank? The steam generator? Will she reveal a falsification on the part of Areva? The wheel of nuclear misfortune continues to turn, and “one day, an anomaly” seems to have become the new slogan of the French nuclear. A climax for this so-called flagship of our industry … Where will the misfortune of this nuclear park at the end of the race end?
