The SNP have secured a debate this week in the House of Commons on the UK-Govt’s trade and economic policies, in which they aim to highlight the ‘shambles’ over renewable energy. Speaking ahead of the debate, Aberdeen South MP Callum McCaig – who is also the SNP’s energy spokesperson at the Westminster parliament – said today: “One of the areas most lacking in any kind of leadership or vision from the UK government is the total absence of vision in renewable energy investment where there is no coherent strategy – with even the UN describing the UK Government’s policies as’ reckless and irrational’.
