A total of 13 companies and/or consortia have scooped a share in more than £660,000 Scot-Govt. funding to develop new control systems for wave energy converters. Control systems can enhance energy yield, reduce operating costs and increase survivability of wave energy devices, all contributing to a lower cost of energy. The successful project winners won an average of £40-50,000 each.
